Jak widać, wysłanie wiadomości e-mail z załącznikiem jest łatwe do wykonania. W poprzednim przykładzie mamy typ MIME multipart / mixed, a wewnątrz niego mamy typ MIME multipart / alternative, który określa dwie wersje wiadomości e-mail. Aby dołączyć załącznik do naszej wiadomości, odczytujemy dane z podanego pliku na ciąg znaków, kodujemy go za pomocą base64, dzielimy na mniejsze kawałki, aby upewnić się, że pasuje do specyfikacji MIME, a następnie dołączamy go jako załącznik.

Skończyłem pisząc własną funkcję wysyłania/kodowania wiadomości e-mail. To działa dobrze dla mnie do wysyłania załączników PDF. Nie używałem innych funkcji w produkcji.

Uwaga: mimo że specyfikacja jest dość dobitna, że musisz używać \R\n do oddzielania nagłówków, okazało się, że działa tylko wtedy, gdy używałem PHP_EOL. Testowałem to tylko na Linuksie. YMMV
