Następnie pomiędzy tymi dwoma liniami inny proces mógłby łatwo zablokować plik, dając Ci ten sam problem, którego starałeś się uniknąć, rozpoczynając od: exceptions.

Jednak w ten sposób będziesz wiedział, że problem jest tymczasowy i spróbuj ponownie później. (Np. możesz napisać wątek, który w przypadku napotkania blokady podczas próby zapisu, będzie się powtarzał, dopóki blokada nie zniknie.)

IOException, z drugiej strony, nie jest sam w sobie wystarczająco specyficzne, że blokowanie jest przyczyną o porażce IO. Mogą być powody, które nie są tymczasowe.
