Jak programowo zaokrąglać rogi i ustawiać losowe kolory tła

Chciałbym zaokrąglać rogi widoku, a także zmieniać kolor widoku na podstawie zawartości w czasie wykonywania.

v.setText(tagsList.get(i));
if(i%2 == 0){
    v.setBackgroundColor(Color.RED);
}else{
    v.setBackgroundColor(Color.BLUE);
}

v.setLayoutParams(new LayoutParams(LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT,LayoutParams.WRAP_CONTENT));
v.setPadding(twoDP, twoDP, twoDP, twoDP);               
v.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.tags_rounded_corners);

Miałem nadzieję, że ustawienie drawable i kolor będzie nakładać się, ale nie. Którekolwiek z nich wykonam jako drugie, jest wynikowym tłem.

Czy Jest jakiś sposób, aby programowo utworzyć ten widok, pamiętając, że kolor tła nie zostanie określony do czasu uruchomienia?

Edit: zamieniam się teraz tylko pomiędzy czerwonym i niebieskim do testów. Później kolor będzie wybierany przez użytkownika.

Zamiast setBackgroundColor pobieramy rysowalne tło i ustawiamy jego kolor: 

v.setBackgroundResource(R.drawable.tags_rounded_corners);

GradientDrawable drawable = (GradientDrawable) v.getBackground();
if (i % 2 == 0) {
  drawable.setColor(Color.RED);
} else {
  drawable.setColor(Color.BLUE);
}

Możesz również zdefiniować wyściółkę w swoim tags_rounded_corners.xml:

Total programmatic approach, aby ustawić zaokrąglone rogi i dodać losowy kolor tła do widoku. Nie testowałem kodu, ale masz pomysł.

Tutaj używamy gradientu drawable tak, że możemy korzystać z GradientDrawable#setCornerRadius, Ponieważ ShapeDrawable nie dostarcza żadnej takiej metody.

Możesz lepiej to osiągnąć używając DrawableCompat w następujący sposób: 

Drawable backgroundDrawable = view.getBackground();             
DrawableCompat.setTint(backgroundDrawable, newColor);
