Jak już wspomnieliśmy kilka razy, należy pobrać informacje z pola nagłówka odpowiedzi Content-Length .

Należy jednak pamiętać, że

• serwer, który badasz niekoniecznie implementuje metodę HEAD (!)
• nie ma absolutnie potrzeby ręcznego tworzenia żądania HEAD (które, ponownie, może nawet nie być obsługiwane) za pomocą fopen lub podobnych lub nawet wywoływania biblioteki curl, gdy PHP ma get_headers() (pamiętaj: K. I. S. S. )

Użycie get_headers() zgodnie z zasadą K. I. S. S. i Działa nawet jeśli serwer, który badasz, nie obsługuje żądania HEAD.

Dodatkowe Uwaga: nagłówek Content-Length jest opcjonalny. Tak więc, jako ogólne rozwiązanie nie jest kuloodporne !

Jasne. Wykonaj żądanie tylko nagłówków i poszukaj nagłówka Content-Length.

Większość odpowiedzi używa CURL lub opiera się na czytaniu nagłówków. Ale w niektórych sytuacjach można użyć sposób łatwiejsze rozwiązanie.
