Nie mogę uwierzyć, że nikt nie opublikował oczywistego rozszerzonego zestawu narzędzi WPF-WatermarkTextBox od Xceed. Działa całkiem dobrze i jest open source w przypadku, gdy chcesz dostosować.

Istnieje artykuł o CodeProject o tym jak to zrobić w "3 lines of XAML".

Ok, może nie są to 3 linie sformatowanego XAML, ale jest dość proste.

Należy jednak zauważyć, że używa niestandardowej metody rozszerzenia na właściwości tekstowej, zwanej "IsEmpty". Musisz to zaimplementować samodzielnie, jednak artykuł nie wydaje się o tym wspominać.

Ma to większy sens, jeśli pole tekstowe zostanie automatycznie ustawione na fokus podczas wyświetlania formularza lub gdy baza danych zostanie włączona do właściwości Text.

Również jeśli twój znak wodny jest zawsze tylko ciągiem znaków i potrzebujesz stylu znaku wodnego, aby pasował do stylu pola tekstowego, następnie w Adorner do:

Postanowiłem to rozwiązać poprzez zachowanie. Używa właściwości Hint do zdefiniowania tekstu do wyświetlenia (może to być również obiekt, jeśli wolisz) i właściwości Value do oceny, czy podpowiedź powinna być widoczna, czy nie.

Zachowanie jest deklarowane w następujący sposób:
