Jak programowo zamknąć miękką klawiaturę Androida?

Obecnie wyświetlam softkeyboard za pomocą następującego kodu

InputMethodManager imm = (InputMethodManager) getSystemService(Context.INPUT_METHOD_SERVICE);
imm.toggleSoftInput (InputMethodManager.SHOW_FORCED, InputMethodManager.RESULT_HIDDEN);

I tutaj nie związałem softkeyboard z Edittext, ponieważ użyłem powyższego kodu.

Teraz chcę zamknąć SoftKeyboard, więc obecnie używam poniższego kodu, ale nie działa.

imm.toggleSoftInput (InputMethodManager.SHOW_FORCED, InputMethodManager.RESULT_HIDDEN);

Czy ktoś może mi zasugerować, czego użyć do zamknięcia softKeyboard ?

Na podstawie poniższej odpowiedzi chcę wyjaśnić, że nie używam EditText, używam layoutu, na którym chcesz pokazać klawiaturę i ukryć klawiaturę. Chcę wysłać Zdarzenie klawiatury do zdalnego obszaru bcoz, którego nie użyłem editText.
